JSO: I went to the beach by myself during a record breaking heatwave. The water was cool and clear. A positive, yet lonely experience. People tend to go to the beach in groups.

JSO: 6.30 as always

JSP: When I was a boy it was my mom’s. It smelled of roses. She rarely wore makeup - this was the seventies - so I think she had the same one through all the years.

JSO: Not really

JSO: I wish I were a golden boy. I bet they have more fun.

JSO: No

JSO:I don’t eat breakfast. I am starving myself to stay skinny

JSO: Geum. The bright orange kind.

JSO: Light blue

JSO: I’m a newspaper journalist

PJ: Do you like your work?
JSO: It’s a love-hate relationship. But yes. Otherwise it can’t be done.

JSO: I’m privileged. I have a voice. And if I didn’t get to use it, I’d go mad.

PJ: Do you like your voice?
JSO: Actually, people often recognize me by my voice because I’m on a popular radio programme. I’m often complimented on it. People tell me it has a calming effect on them. Personally, I think it’s too nasal.

PJ: What is your dream of the future?
JSO: Some time I’ll retire to my cottage way out in the country in Sweden. By then, I want to be left alone.

PJ: What’s the happiest thing about your life?
JSO: My man, my dog and my garden.

PJ: How about the saddest?
JSO: I’m not really good at maintaining close friendships. I'm too self-absorbed.

JSO: My ears

JSO: The rest

PJ: What part of your personality do you like best?
JSO: It wasn’t always like that, but now I pride myself with not being afraid of anyone. I’m not shy anymore. I can be aloof but that’s not the same.

PJ: What part of your personality don’t you like?
JSO: I talk too much

PJ: What is your habit?
JSO: Swedish snus and gallons of coffee

PJ: When was your first love?
JSO: My first boyfriend. I came out as a gay man at the age of 21. Happy Pride!

PJ: What kind of person was this?
JSO: A guy my age. We split after a couple of years but are still great friends.

PJ: What type of person is your current lover?
JSO: Calm, patient, supportive, and loyal.

PJ: What do you expect from them?
JSO: To be calm, patient, supportive, and loyal.

PJ: What did you dream about last night?
JSO: That I lived in a small, confined  place but found an extra room behind a painting on the wall. I was hoping the building owners had forgotten all about it so I could annex it. However, they had not.

PJ: Do you believe in dreams?
JSO: I hate dreaming. I’m constantly haunted, pursued, or shamed. Why can’t I be allowed to rest peacefully at night? Then I realised that being awake is even more frightening. That’s when the real unpredictability sets in.

JSO: No.

JSO: God hasn't blessed me with that ability.
